What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a treatment that aims to thicken or restore hair thinning or baldness. It's also known as a scalp tattoo. Tiny, fine needles place little pigment (color) droplets on the scalp. These dots make it appear like there is more hair on your head. The SMP pigments are cosmetic-grade, permanent inks.
